Teacher Nina Hunter

This advanced programme is designed for painters seeking to deepen both their technical command of acrylic painting and their understanding of professional practice within the contemporary art market.

Across 12 weeks of studio teaching, participants will engage with classical subjects: still life, portrait, and drapery, each explored over two consecutive three-hour sessions.

In addition, this mentorship programme offers a more expansive insight into the life and practice of a professional painter. Drawing on her background in branding and design, alongside her experience as both a gallerist and exhibiting artist, Nina Hunter will guide students in shaping a coherent artistic identity and positioning their work within the contemporary market.

The programme includes individual critique sessions and portfolio reviews, providing focused, practical guidance tailored to each participant’s direction and ambitions.

Mentorship Outline:

  • Key aspects of professional artistic practice

  • The development of a recognisable visual language

  • Creating a cohesive body of work

  • Positioning and Marketing Strategy

  • Attracting Collectors

Sessions also address pricing, presentation, and cultivating a refined public presence, alongside guidance on approaching galleries and building a sustainable practice.
