Join artist and Saltaire Art School founder, Nina Hunter, for a 3-hour Acrylic Painting Masterclass that blends painting with the foundations of drawing.
In this busy run-up to Christmas, take a moment to slow down, breathe, and carve out a little time just for you. Surrounded by the calm and inspiring atmosphere of Sonder, you’ll be guided through the process of creating a beautiful acrylic painting — from quick drawing warm-up to layering colour on canvas.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to deepen your skills, Nina will gently lead you through:
Drawing for composition, scale and proportions; getting familiar with the subject
Acrylic techniques — foundations of colour theory, blending and brush handling
Learn to look with intention, slow down and switch off from the life’s relentless demands
You’ll leave with your own finished painting, refreshed and inspired — the perfect pause before the festive rush.
The class includes:
Foundations of drawing focusing on scale and composition
Painting a still life subject under the bespoke guidance
Own station with all painting materials

About the teacher
Nina received an MA in Graphic Design and Fine Arts from The Academy of Fine Arts in Poland. Nina’s career took her on a journey through Graphic Design and illustration and with global clients including Christain Dior, Louis Vuitton and Davidoff she gained a reputation as a sought-after professional.
Nina’s passion for creating art and her desire to educate about quality art led her to open Saltaire Art School in 2020.
In 2022 Nina has been appointed as a Visiting Lecturer at Leeds Art University.
