The Time Keeper’s Paradox
Yorkshire sycamore, steam-bent maple, scorched pine
2025
This sculpture contemplates our perception of time as both suspended and infinite. The central orb represents the lived moment — a fleeting point of awareness — while the surrounding, slender forms reach beyond it, embodying the potential non-existence or boundlessness of time itself. Between stillness and motion, presence and dissolution, The Time Keeper’s Paradox questions whether time truly flows, or if it merely exists as a construct of consciousness — a paradox we each hold within our own perception.
