Saltaire Art School Garden Party, 6th of September

£6.00

This has been a monumental year for us. We have transformed and elevated the brand in ways even we could not have anticipated. What began as an ordinary Year 6 gradually evolved into a complete reimagining of our identity.

To mark this significant milestone, we are allowing ourselves a moment of celebration: raising a toast on the deck of my riverside garden as we watch the sun reach its furthest point in the sky.

Saturday 6th September
5 - 7:30 pm

The evening will include the following:
— an official welcome
— sausages cooked over the open fire
— tarot card readings
— a shisha lounge
— bring your own beverage

While staying deeply committed to our core principle of offering tuition of the highest standard, we had to let go of the parts of the brand that no longer felt aligned with who we were becoming. Some of those decisions felt bold and felt uncomfortable, but looking back now, they shaped the art school into something far more expansive than I could have imagined - a recognised creative platform attracting ambitious artists from across Yorkshire and well beyond.

There were moments this year when the process felt incredibly challenging, especially when even I couldn’t fully see where the rebrand was leading us. Reinventing something so publicly, in front of students who watch every shift and change, required a great deal of trust, resilience and faith in the vision.

But we made it through.

And now, as we finish this term with the highest number of students since opening in 2020, I can finally see what all of it was building towards. The creation of The Art Club has become something especially meaningful to me, a space for connection, conversation and community beyond the classroom itself.

We are now a community of nearly 40 weekly students, 124 WhatsApp members, 1,300 email subscribers and 27 Art Club members (3 teachers and 1 support staff).

Although my intention has always been to keep things personal and intimate (because meaningful connections are made in smaller spaces), it warms my heart to realise how many of you are searching for the same thing.

Thank you for being part of it.
