Programmes
For those whose primary goal is to master the disciplines of drawing and painting and gain a serious head start in their creative careers, we offer a compelling alternative: one rooted in rigorous training, individual mentorship, and artistic development. Rather than focusing on the broader campus lifestyle experience, our programme is designed to provide intensive artistic education and professional preparation, without leaving students burdened by overwhelming debt at the end.
In a time when many young artists leave university feeling creatively disoriented and technically underprepared, Saltaire Art School offers a path rooted in the discipline of traditional atelier practice.
Deeply engaged with contemporary fine art, the school caters to ambitious creatives seeking a more rigorous, individual, and mentorship-led education. With small groups, long-term guidance, and direct immersion within a working gallery environment, students are encouraged not only to refine their technical ability but to cultivate artistic identity, confidence, and professional direction.
For many, it has become a serious alternative to conventional art education, one that focuses on craftsmanship, beauty, and the pursuit of artistic excellence.

“Nina is a great teacher, giving good advice and help where needed while encouraging everyone to work in their own way. The classes are focused, but good fun, with different challenges each week. I really enjoy going and would recommend.”
